Instructions

The Cadillac Championship, hosted at Donald Trump's golf course in Miami, is slated to become a key event in the PGA Tour's newly established Championship Series, commencing in 2028. This tournament, situated at Trump National Doral's renowned Blue Monster course, will transition into a Signature Event next year, taking place from March 3-7. The complete PGA Tour schedule for 2028, which will feature the debut of the Championship Series, is expected to be released at a later date, with this event securing a prime slot.

Cadillac's Chief Marketing Officer, David Mogensen, expressed enthusiasm for the tournament's growth, stating that the Cadillac Championship is rapidly becoming an indispensable fixture on the international sports calendar. He reiterated Cadillac's dedication to fostering iconic experiences that showcase performance, skill, and innovation, thereby enhancing the sport, its athletes, and the brand's image. The Championship Series, first unveiled in June, is an integral component of the PGA Tour's comprehensive plan to revamp its schedule beginning in 2028. This revised season will span from February through August and will encompass approximately 23-24 tournaments, including The Players Championship, the four major championships, and various postseason and international team competitions such as the Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup. The fate of other events, like the Cognizant Classic, beyond 2027 remains undecided.

In its inaugural staging this year, held from April 30 to May 3, the Cadillac Championship saw Cameron Young, currently ranked third globally, emerge victorious. Young triumphed over World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler by a margin of six strokes, securing his second win of the season, following his victory at The Players, and marking his third career PGA Tour title. Dave Mack, the Executive Director of the Cadillac Championship, noted the increasing momentum behind the event. He emphasized that with new dates early in the global sports calendar and its elevation to the PGA Tour's Championship Series in 2028, the tournament is building upon a robust foundation, creating enhanced opportunities for its fans, players, partners, and the broader community.

The integration of the Cadillac Championship into the PGA Tour's elite series symbolizes a bright future for the sport, reflecting a commitment to innovation and excellence. This strategic move will undoubtedly elevate the tournament's profile, attracting top talent and providing fans with unparalleled viewing experiences, while also demonstrating the positive impact of strategic partnerships on professional golf.
