Spanning 200 square meters, this countryside sanctuary is ingeniously positioned on an elongated, softly contoured piece of land, embraced by the calming presence of mature pine and venerable olive trees. It stands as a testament to modern architectural thought while respecting the enduring legacy of its natural and cultural setting, offering a serene escape that is both rooted in history and forward-looking in design.

Countryside Retreat: Treelithon in Halkidiki, Greece

In the picturesque region of Halkidiki, Greece, Not a Number Architects, led by Ermis Adamantidis and Dominiki Dadatsi, have unveiled a striking architectural project known as Treelithon. Completed in 2025, this 200 square meter residential and hospitality space reimagines the classic stone houses prevalent in the Greek countryside. The structure is thoughtfully integrated into a long, gently sloping site, shaded by a beautiful canopy of ancient olive and mature pine trees, offering a tranquil retreat from urban life. KOMET ATE served as the general contractor for this project, which seamlessly blends into its natural surroundings using materials like wood, stone, and concrete, reflecting a harmonious dialogue between modern design and traditional elements.
